Large Scale Printing in Olin and Uris Libraries

Olin library offers a plotting services for your large scale printing needs. Using our HP DesignJet Z2100, you can print documents up to a maximum width of 42” at a resolution of 300 dpi, on heavyweight matte paper.
Location: the plotter is located in the printing area behind the Reference desk.

Costs and Payment
The cost of service is $7 per linear foot.
When your document has finished printing on the plotter, the operator on duty will create an invoice, which you can pay at the Olin Circulation desk.
Accepted payment types include:
- Cash
- Credit
- Check
- Departmental Charge
We do not accept payment via Venda-Card, Net-Print, or Cornell Card for prints from the plotter.
After you have paid, return to the computer operator with your stamped invoice to pick up your document.
Using the Plotting Service
Accepted document formats include PowerPoint XP, PowerPoint 2007, Adobe PDF, .jpg, .gif, and .tiff.
Bring your digital document on a Flash Drive, CD, or DVD to the Student Computer Operator in front of the Olin Print Center. The operator on duty will double check the formatting of your document and send it to the plotter. The operator will also generate an invoice, which is payable at Olin's Circulation Desk (see: Costs and Payment).
Document Formatting Tips
If your document is not formatted correctly before you begin working on it, the jump to a larger page size could stretch out or distort images and reduce image quality.
Setting up your document in PowerPoint 2007
- Click the "Design" tab
- Choose "Page Setup"
- Under "Slides sized for," choose "Custom"
- Enter your width and height preferences for the document
