Our research consultation service is available to any member of the Cornell community starting or working on a major library research project, including undergraduate honors students, undergraduates writing major term papers, graduate students beginning thesis work, and faculty. A reference librarian will schedule an appointment with you to discuss your research project, and can:
* provide assistance in selecting the best resource for your subject area
* suggest strategies for searching specific databases
* guide you in finding and using government documents and/or statistical resources
* help you identify and locate primary sources
* develop your research strategies or evaluate your library research process to date
* help you search the Web for relevant and reliable information
* explain how to gain access to material held by other libraries
