Large-Scale Printing in Olin Library

Olin Library also offers wide-format printing services for your large scale printing needs. Using our HP DesignJet Z3200, we can print documents up to a maximum printed area of 41.6" on 42" heavyweight matte paper at a resolution of 1200 dpi.

Hours

Making an appointment by contacting Olin Reference is preferred, but walk-in service is often available during our reference desk hours. There are additional plotters available in Mann Library.

Costs and Payment

The cost of service is $8 per linear foot.

When your document has finished printing on the plotter, the operator on duty will create an invoice, which you can pay at the Olin Public Services Office in Room 116, or at the Olin Circulation Desk outside of business hours.

Accepted payment types include:

  • Cash
  • Credit
  • Check
  • Departmental Charge

We do not accept payment via Copy Card, Net-Print, or Cornell Card for prints from the plotter.

After you have paid, return to the computer operator with your stamped invoice to pick up your document.

Using the Plotting Service

Accepted document formats include TIFF, PDF, and JPEG.

Store your file(s) on a flash drive or have them accessible over the internet (e.g. e-mailed to yourself) and visit the Olin Reference Desk. The operator on duty will double check the formatting of your document and send it to the plotter. The operator will also generate an invoice (see: Costs and Payment).
