Olin Library Study Space

There are study tables with Ethernet connections for laptops throughout the reference stacks on the Main Level for quiet study. There are additional study tables and seating available on the Lower Level. The Current Periodicals Room on the Main Level is also designated a QUIET study space.

Group Study Room

Rooms 402 and 404 in Olin Library are available for group study on a first-come first-serve basis.

Room 302 is available to be reserved.

Reading Rooms

Rooms 301, 304, 305, 401, 405, 601 and 602 in Olin Library are available for general quiet study.

Graduate Reading Rooms
Rooms devoted to graduate study in specific subject areas have been designated as follows:

Hart Collection (English)
Medieval Studies
Modern Languages
Near Eastern Studies
and Speech

604 & 605 Graduate Reading Rooms
Ancient History and Classics (Classics Seminar)

Graduate Study Carrels

Study Carrels are available to Graduate Students in Olin Library. [Undergraduates working on their Honors Thesis, see Uris Study Spaces for information on carrels.]

In Olin Library, there are two different types of Carrels -- Open Carrels and Locked Carrels. Any registered graduate student can request an open carrel. Graduate students who have passed their A exams can request to be put on a waiting list for a locked carrel.

Carrels are assigned in Olin Library, Room 116. Applications for carrels are normally accepted at any time.
