This exhibit displays three original maps representing respectively the birthplaces of the students of the Class of 1872, the Class of 1919, and the Class of 1969. All of them were designed and created by Michael Catsos using the ESRI ArcGIS 10.1 software. The background design was provided by Qianqian “Q” Ye.
The statistical and historical data represented in the display was researched and selected by Boris Michev from different sources. Statistical aggregation and data entry was performed by the Maps & Media Unit student-employees.
As the principal curator, Boris Michev selected the maps from the Olin Library Map collection representing Ithaca and the Cornell campus, and created the overall exhibit design.
